Waka TV App: Live TV, Sport & Movies in South Africa

Waka TV is a South African IPTV service: live TV channels, sport, movies and series streamed over your internet connection instead of a satellite dish. You watch it in the free Waka TV app on an Android phone, Fire TV Stick, Android TV or TV box, using the login details you get when you subscribe.

Yes, the app is free to download. To watch channels you need an active Waka TV package, which starts at R399 for 3 months. The app on its own has no channels until you log in.

Three ways: Google Play on Android phones and Android TVs, the direct APK for devices without the Play Store, or the Downloader app with code 3580576 on a Fire TV Stick. All three install the same app — our download page explains which suits your device.

On an Android TV or Google TV (for example many Hisense, TCL, Sony and Philips models), install the app from the Play Store or with Downloader code 3580576. On Smart TVs that don't run Android, plug in a Fire TV Stick or Android TV box via HDMI and install Waka TV on that. Our setup guide covers each device step by step.

Open the Waka TV app and enter the username and password we send you on WhatsApp after your order is activated. Type them exactly as sent — they are case-sensitive, and an extra space is the most common reason a login fails. If it still won't connect, message us and we'll check your account.

Yes. Ask for a 24-hour free trial on WhatsApp and we'll send trial login details, so you can test the channels and picture quality on your own connection before you pay. The trial simply ends after 24 hours — nothing is charged.

Packages start at R399 for 3 months; the 12-month Standard package is R799 (about R67 a month). You order and pay through WhatsApp — tap Subscribe on any package and we'll confirm the payment options and activate your account.

Message us on WhatsApp before your package expires and choose the new duration. Once payment is confirmed, the time is added to your existing account — your login stays the same, so there's nothing to reinstall.

You can install the app on as many devices as you like. A standard package streams on one screen at a time; for two or three screens at once, choose a family package (from R599 and R799 for 3 months).

About 10 Mbps is enough for HD and 25 Mbps for 4K. Uncapped fibre is ideal; LTE and 5G work too, but streaming uses roughly 3–8 GB an hour, so keep an eye on capped data bundles.

Yes, if we can't deliver a working subscription — for example your account is never activated or the service never starts. Refunds don't cover a change of mind or problems with your own internet connection. The full terms are in our refund policy.
